If I May Digress: Richard Boulet and Collaborators

dc3 Art Projects and 21C Curators, Inc. are pleased to launch a new book and print edition exploring textile works created by Richard Boulet, both alone and in collaboration with others, over the past 20 years.

Artists will be in attendance  Please join us to learn about the publication from Richard Boulet and Curator/Producer Wayne Baerwaldt and celebrate its release along with refreshments and excellent company.

Edmonton-based Richard Boulet’s visually arresting fine craft work features a characteristic mix of figurative and abstract elements that vibrate in various forms including traditional cross-stitching, assemblage techniques and filaments of colour.

Marilyn Olson is a largely self-taught fine craft artist based in Edmonton. Olson is a Peer Leader for the Textile Arts – Open Studio group that is part of the Peer Support Program at CMHA-Edmonton. Richard and Marilyn started to make textile art together four years ago. Together they mesh and work in concert with each other.

Catalogue: 120pp, 10x12 inches, hardcover, fully illustrated, colour throughout. Contributors include Dick Averns, Wayne Baerwaldt, Noam Gonick, Michele Hardy, Steven Harris, and Eric Wood. Designed by Barr Gilmore. First pressing of 1000 copies.

Print edition: 20 special edition books will be accompanied by print-drawings as dust covers. Each drawing 12x37” on COLORPLAN white vellum archival paper, embossed and drawn, each a unique work.
